Hi guys š,
Is it correct to say "have a short haircut"? For example, I want to say "It has been so hot these days so I decided to have a short haircut".
What would you say instead? Thank you š

You can āget a short haircutā if youāre talking about going to the barber.
Iām going to get a short haircut this time.
Otherwise, natural are things like:
Iāve decided to wear my hair short.
I keep my hair short in the summer.
Sheās going to try short hair for awhile.
Do I look good with short hair?
But āhaving a short haircutā is possible too.
Iāll have a short haircut in August because itās required by my new job which I start in July. (The context is that people understand that your current long hair isnāt compatible with the job youāre going to start. But Iād still probably just say āIāll have short hairā)

You could also say It's been so hot lately I decided to get my hair cut short. But even more natural I would say It's been so hot I decided to cut my hair short(it being understood already I went to get someone to cut my hair and didn't cut it myself)
