In the last movie I watched, <Dune 2>, the story went deeper than the first episode. Let's say the first episode is more of an introduction of background and unique worldview built by the director. The second episode is so riveting that you can feel a grand story is eventually unfolding in front of you. The leading character started to grow up to be a true king. One more thing worth pointing out, is that there are some scenes in the movie that are amazing and beautiful, like the scene of Paul riding the sandworm in the boundless desert. By incorporating religious elements, the film presented a strong sense of holiness and mystery.
