What does "push someone over the line" mean?
that's in the university's fight song,
"The boys are there with bells, their fighting blood excels,
It's harder to push them over the lines than pass the Dardanelles."
Does "push someone over the line" mean "push (something) over the finish line"?
Thank you

This is a football fight song, so it's literally talking about the line of scrimmage in (American) football.
It doesn't apply in this case, but there is an expression to 'push someone over the line'. It generally means to offend a person enough to cause them to lose their temper.
