I remembered clearly my first English class in university. The teacher asked us to introduce our hometown and ourselves. I was so embarrassed because I never practiced my spoken English. I felt the gap amongst the classmates. People from developed areas, especially from the big cities, had learned English the correct way. From listening to speaking as well as reading and writing. But the ones from less developed areas such as rural regions just read the content from their books. So I spent almost a third of my time learning English in university. Fortunately, after working hard for many years, I passed all of my English tests. Yet I still can't fluently converse with others. What's worse, I didn't continue to learn English after working until when I saw my daughter still using an outdated method to learn English. From this moment, I was determined to keep learning English with her. Now, I could see the obvious progresses she made. She can understand all the sentences from "Peppa pig" and speak English whenever she has a bit of spare time. Although we did a lot of mistakes, we can learn from them. Be reassured, we can learn from the original books and videos from UK and America. We also got a lot of help from our friends in other countries. Just do it. Good work. What a wonderful reason to resume learning English.
