The words another and other mean the same thing, except that another is used with a singular noun and other is used with uncountable and plural nouns: She's going to the cinema with another friend. She's going to the cinema with other friends.

Think of another as an + other. We use this word in the same situations where we would use the indefinite article (a/an), like with undefined singular countable nouns. We use 'other' in situations where we wouldn't use an article, such as with general plural or uncountable nouns, and 'the other' in situations where we would use the definite article. "Would you like another cup of coffee? I have other milk if you don't like cow's milk." "Thanks, another cup of coffee sounds great. Is this my slice of cake?" "No, yours is the other one, this one is mine."

"another" has the letters "an" in the beginning, whereas "other" doesn't. That's what's different! Otherwise, the usage of the words, if that's what your'e asking, has already been answered correctly. (I have answered in this way to show how the formulation of questions can mislead the person you are asking, by not giving the answer you are really seeking) Have a great day!
