The charts illustrates the mortality rate by age and gender in 1950, 1980 and 2010 in Africa.             Overall mortality rate in the elderly were always the highest and males had higher rates compared to females.             The oldest members of the society who were above 61 years old were more likely to pass away. In 1950  the rate was approximately 84 precent and it gradually decreased to 70 percent by 2010. Surprisingly the mortality rate in people aged 0-20 were very high but it kept decreasing, while the rate in people aged 21 to 30 years old were always the lowest and by 2010 it wass approximately only 2 percent.             Mortality rate was the highest in males. In 1950 deceased males were approximately 38 percent while woman was only 29 percent. The mortality rate kept decreasing gradually and by 2010 the rate in both gender was almost the same.
