Icelandic 'en'
"Hin eyðilega Egdonheiði sló á næmari og fágætari strengi, nýþroskaðri tilfinningu en sú fegurð vekur, sem kölluð er unaðsleg og björt."
Hæ, ég er færeyskur maður, sem er að reyna að læra íslensku... Could you please help me understand why there is an 'en' (=than) and not an 'er' (=that) before 'sú fegurð' in the sentence above?
Ég skil ekki... Makes little sense to me :/ It would be helpful if you could illustrate the use of 'en' in this sentence with other similar sentences...
