You have a very pleasant voice.

en / ligh / tened,    I would     ex / per / i /ment   on him with my draw / ing Num / ber One, which I have always kept.

I    wan / ted    to see if he    rea /lly     un / der /stood   any /thing.

But he would    al /ways    an /swer, “That’s a hat.”

Then I wouldn’t talk about boa (BOW A) con / stric / tors or jungles (J noy Y pronunciation of jungles) or stars.

I would put myself on his level and talk about bridge / and golf / and politics / and neckties (or bridge, golf, politics and neckties).

And my grown-up was glad to know such a      rea / son / able   person"<o:p></o:p>

My best advice is to speak slowly and pronounce each syllable clearly.

Then, after you are more confident that you are pronouncing each syllable, you can begin to speak a little quicker (and it will be clearer). 

I agree with everything Richard wrote.

Here are a couple specific things I noticed:

I couldn't hear the d in encountered

In jungles the j was pronounced like a y

The vowel in "and" was off, it should be the same as the vowel in that and hat.
