The meaning of "put some grass under them"
Greeting
This situation comes from the series Prison Break.
Inmate B: It's too bad. Sort of wish it was true. The man's a legend.
Inmate A: Nowhere near as much as I wish it were true, friend. I'd have a million-five waiting for me on the outside.
(Here they see some other prisoners coming to them as they want to have a fight, so inmate A says: ''I'd put some grass under 'em if I were you'' and leaves).
