The Boy and The Surgeon.

A boy, was being driven by his father to school. There was a terrible accident, and his father crashed the car into a wall. The boy's father died at the scene.

The boy was still alive but was very badly injured. He was taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital, and brought straight to the operating theatre.

But when he got to the operating theatre, the surgeon said.

"I can't operate on this boy"

"This boy is my son"

how can this story be true?

I recall a story not exactly about accidents, but about the things that may answer your question.

It is about a marathoner, who had got very weary on his course. Suddenly he stumbled and fell down, but got up quickly and found the extremal ease in his running. He looked up at his wrist heart-watch and cursed - the bloody figures were dancing all way round. "A forgery ruddy thing!" he thought. The figures really were strange. Literally, they showed a dead zilch.

All around him was a beautiful garden with all other runners moving gracefully and swiftly as if they had been flying through the air. And lastly, there was the finish. The timing was rather good. Never had he such a good timing in his life!

Congratulations, claps of hands, casual shouts "Bravo!" - all that sort and stuff you usually get after the successful finish.

Then a bearded bloke came up to him. The bloke looked a bit strange and asked our runner to come to a nearby caravan van for some routine tests. "What's you name, chap?" the marathoner asked. "Just call me Peter, just as I call this meself."

When he entered the van, suddenly happened a black-out. All lights went off. A dense dark fell around and fogged up everything. But he continued to move groping his way on. Maybe the light will come soon again. The darkness was an absolute,  a thrilling dark, like the greatest beginning and the end of the universe. A terrible shriek tore his mouth and lips. It was a panic. Automatically he continued to move on and to yell.

Shrieks and cries continued. "Such strong lungs that kid has!" said a doctor of a maternity ward. "He cries and shouts, and seems to have a second wind in it! Surely he'll be a good runner!"
