The second sentence as well)

The article says:

Incorrect:

Gus and I are going to school.

Give the papers to John and me.

 Correct:

Me and Gus are going to school.

Give the papers to John and I.

I guess "correct" and "incorrect" should be reversed.

Ryan and I go to the beach.

You know this is correct because if you remove "Ryan" from the sentence, it still makes sense.

I go to the beach.

He needs to give it to Ryan and me.

If I remove "Ryan" it still makes sense.

He needs to give it to me.

That's a simple trick to use, and don't worry, plenty of native speakers make these mistakes all the time.

Thanks for your explanations, especially about the correct use of me and I.

I don't understand why the sentence "Everybody must bring their own drink." is incorrect. I thought that instead of "he or she" we can use the third person plural. Is there anything different about the sentence in the article?

I don't really understand the ''Me and I''. Gus and I is not correct? You said the name first; didn't you?
