Does "be thankful of someones" ever exist in English?

I would say "I appreciate him/her" or "I am thankful for him/her...." . I wouldn't ever say "I am thankful of someone."

Thankful to/for someone.
Thankful to someone = you want to say 'thank you' to someone.
Thankful for someone = you are thankful for having someone in your life, which means that you are happy someone is in your life.

Hello Silver,
I think "being thankful to someone" sounds better.
