Is it ok to use an avatar of the opposite gender?
What do you think of people who use avatars of genders different from their own? Is it ok for them to enhance their ability to find language partners that way?

Remember my comic wolf avatar? It never occurred to me that I should have used a female wolf.

Your avatar seems androgynous to me Aegis and scary. I surely wouldn’t contact you if I was looking for a language partner.

I like gender-neutral avatars myself.

aigis so it is a girl, on your avatar?!
PS, it's ok. Eveything's ok.
I would even be fine wiht obscene avatars. But I'm more comfortable with users who pick an avatar they like, when they represent their identity somehow - rather then are tyring to manipulate soemone for some practical goal. But after all, it also represents their identity and i'm like this too....

Um… like a language partner’s not going to notice? Lol.
My impression is that while female users might get more corrections to notebook entries, the quality of most such “corrections” is extremely dubious, as many of the correctors attracted seem to barely know the language themselves. Male users may not get as many corrections, but the ones they do get appear more likely to be from serious language enthusiasts.
