I skimmed through the book: "Practical English Usage" by Michael Swan
Based on the introduction and structure of the book, it is a kind of reference dictionary for difficult cases of using English words, expressions and grammar.
A few quotations from the introduction:
"English, like all languages, is full of problems for the foreign learner. Some of these points are easy to explain - for instance, the formation of questions, the difference between since and for, the meaning of after all. Other problems are more tricky, and cause difficulty even for advanced students and teachers."
"The book is intended for higher level students of English and for teachers. Being a reference book, it contains information at various levels, ranging from relatively simple points to quite advanced problems."
Accordingly, I found a single book of a similar orientation:
"Трудные случаи русской грамматики. Сборник упражнений по русскому языку как иностранному"
(The manual includes exercises for grammar aspects that usually cause confusion and difficulties: expression of time, reason, purpose, and word order in simple and complex sentences...)

@Natalia, you can shorten them manually: namely you only need "........../0140120416" part

Thanks for the responses.

@Natalia - I have the second book you linked to. Thanks.

@Serg - I'll file the info under "look into this in detail later" as it's apparently beyond my needs at this point.
