Tutor de la comunidadMy California trip day 4
On day 4 in southern California I went on a Hollywood bus tour. It took us to the Hollywood Walk of fame where I saw the stars on the ground. I went to a really cool chocolate shop. I saw the Hollywood sign. Then we went to Rodeo Drive where I visited a hotel that 'Pretty Woman' movie was filmed at. Then I went to a shopping center called 'The Grove' and 'Farmers Market' that had plenty of places to eat at. I saw the Santa Monica Pier which was beautiful. I went all the way out to the end of the pier and had a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach behind me. I visited Venice Beach which was interesting. Some little shops and vendors. The day wasn't without problems though, unfortunately the tour bus broke down at the Hollywood walk of fame. Which made me extremely nervous when the tour bus driver left to go get a new bus. I was worried to be on a busy tourist sidewalk in a new state that I hadn't been to before. Luckily the tour bus driver returned but said that he couldn't get a new bus until later on in the day. The bus made it to Venice beach where it pretty much completely stopped working so a new bus had to meet us there to take us home. The traffic from downtown LA to Anaheim was insane. Due to the fact that rush hour lasts all day in southern California it took 4 hours to return back to the hotel that we were staying at.

I went to LA and San Diego years ago. I was a bit naive and didn't understand that I would need a car to get around. I thought it was like the cities here in the UK. Enjoyed the place though. Was surprised the ocean felt so cold as I thought you could fry an egg on on the sidewalk. Told the costguard who obviously thought I was another crazy Brit. Went over the border to Tijuana like Terry and had a whale of time.

No earthquakes or massive fires or mud slides, Alice? That must have been quite a disappointment.

I visited San Diego about eight years ago. We attended a mental health conference, which is the field that I worked in for many years. A couple of us took the train to Tijuana. It sounds like you had quite an adventure Alice. "Keep your stick on the ice."
