I've been in a Speak-English Whatsapp group and it was hell

They are groups with a lot of people (200-300) but everyone remains silent. Sometimes someone says a few words ("Hi", usually) but most of the time the messages are publicity, because the acces to the group is open and it's easy to enter.

So I've decided to create a restricted group of just 8 people, from 8 different countries, who wants know different friends, from 7 different cultures, on a daily basis. Only english and only 8.

If you're interested and you want to be one of the 8, send me a message with your name and country. I'm Josep Maria and I'm from Spain.

Any WhatsApp group is hell. Especially when people don't remain silent. Because, let's face it, most people don't really

have

anything

interesting

to

say.

That reminds me of the Discord app. People on Reddit were claiming that it was the new cool way to communicate. But I got the app. Yes a lot were on it but the chat rooms were pretty dead. No one wanted to voice chat. It was just random people typing "Hi" to each other then disappearing.

We are already 4 from Spain, China, Italy and Vietman No publicity, no bullshit, only 8 people chatting about their daily worries, the ups and downs, their passions.

It can be inspiring.

A Whatsapp group will only work if you have a native speaking chairperson who knows how to steer the conversation in the right direction.  There should be correction and guidance, otherwise what is the point?

you're right. You're so f*ing right. Usually I don't even read half of my friend's messages, because WE only show a mask of fake happiness, in facebook, or instagram.... But... sometimes, with someone I'm not going to meet again, in the real world, I've felt connected, passionate, talking about some rare book, or some episode of our history, or the disgrace or happiness someone is going through.
If I ask the proper questions and we avoid some attitudes we can achieve it for some time

Ei, It's worthy
