When we use near and closer? I know the meaning of "near" and "close". But I don't know the situations I need to use each other. Somebody can help?

Family and friends are close - for example, I am very close to my best friend - we see each other a lot and share a lot of interests.

She lives quite near to me, but not that close - maybe ten minutes drive.

Close is closer than near

- do not stand so close to me, you are invading my space.

Don't get to close, I have a cold.

The man standing near Susie is our manager Tom

Why is that man standing so close to Susie, are they in a relationship?

I hope this helps a bit.

First let's correct your English

When DO we use near and close?

However (do not start a sentence with but) I don't know the situations in which I need to use each ONE. Can somebody help?

Please try to use each one in several sentences. Then we can determine if you are using them correctly or not. You could also google "near and close" and see what the internet says.
