Do Filipinos Use the Word "Ain't" in Their English?
Hello,
I've met someone online who I think is genuine but they shocked me the other day while chatting when they nonchalantly used the word "ain't."
Their English is fair but full of spelling and grammatical errors.
I was shocked to see them use that word and, to be honest, it made me a bit nervous.
Is this odd or rather common?
Thanks.

Hey Scott!
It is not at all strange for a Filipino to say ain't. However, this is not to say that it is commonly used by Filipinos. It still depends on their geographic location and the kind of English they're exposed or accustomed to.
Personally, I don't use it.
You can relax now. Hope this helps!
