The meaning of this sentence I was wondering about the meaning of this sentence.

Could someone please help me understand this sentence?

I've always held musicians in awe.

Hello,


It means to have great respect and admiration (awe) for musicians. In American English it is common to say "to be in awe"  as in "I am in awe of musicians"

 "to hold (someone or something) in awe" - to respect and admire it.
