Korean hangul spelling and stuff.
I have noticed this quite a lot
the thing is
먹방 ☜ how its spelled (korean)
mukbang ☜ how its spelled (in english)
why not '묵방' ?
cause in english there's a m'u'kbang
but in korean hangul instead of 'ㅜ' they use 'ㅓ'
why is that ?? @-@
I found alot more but i cant remember them right now
or do i need to learn more about hangul ?
and then i will get my answer ?

The standard romanization of 먹방 is meogbang
mukbang is an English oriented nonstandard romanization of 먹방.
Almost all native English speaker will read mukbang as 먹방.
In English, 'u' is often pronounced as /ʌ/ sound which is very similar to ㅓ sound.
e.g.

I'm a native speaker of Korean.
먹방 is originated from 먹다 plus 방송.
So, we Korean don't use 묵방.
