In order to communicate effectively, a language learner must be familiar with different accents. Listening is a very important skill in learning and mastering the "art of communicating".
The more accents you come across, the better. When I was studying English, I watched a variety of shows with different accents. I think it is extremely important as a learner and teacher. I must admit that although I was learning English, I always thought that the French accent is the "sexiest" accent ever. It's music to my ears.

In another list though, The Kiwi accent of New Zealand claimed the number one spot.

All of them, to me it would be a monotonous robotic world if we all spoke the same even within one town, city, country or village.

Personally, I prefer the Amercian because it is most poular and helps me to communicate with many people. On the other hand the British is not mostly used among people.

I like the Canadian accent because it's very clear to me and it sound pleasant to my ears
