What is the difference between 新製品 and 新品?

新製品 is more limited than 新品.

Explanation about 新製品

「たとえば家電業界における「公正競争規約・第37条-3」では、「新/ニュー」などの時間的優位性を意味する用語は、

・商品発売開始から1年間

もしくは

・次の新製品が登場するまでの期間

のどちらか短い期間と定められている…」

新品 describes a product whatever haven't been used yet.

新製品の中古品 do exist.

A 新製品 which is used can be called 新製品の中古品.

On the other hand, a concept of 新品の中古品 can't exist.

A 新品 which is used should be called 中古品.
