How do you learn new words?
Basically, I do nothing except consulting my preferred dictionaries whenever I come across an unfamiliar word.
Speaking of dictionaries, my favourites are Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, Collins COBUILD Advanced Learner's Dictionary, and Oxford Dictionary on Lexico.com.
If I just want to look up a word's pronunciation, I use Cubedictionary.org or Youglish.com.

In the past I used to list the words and wrote it many times. But now I just read only. I will remember that word when it's repeated several times on some English stuffs( even my vocabularies are still poor ^^)

I learn mostly by reading, but the main source are videos. When I don't know what a word is I try to understand the spelling and then I search for the word using Google or another source.

My students often find it hard to remember new vocabulary. Here are some tips I give to them!
▶Make a web: make an idea web(mindmap) and start with the new word. Link it with any words/ideas/sentences you know (check my blog for more examples: https://ciiindyenglish.wixsite.com/englishteacher/post/5-tips-to-remember-new-words;)
▷Memorize in chucks: write down words used before and after the “new word” so you remember how to use it
▶Used it now, later, and tomorrow: use the new word at least 7 times to make it stick!
Hope this helps ;) The important thing is to use the word! Don't just memorize it!!

I usually learn new words by either reading books or watching videos on YouTube and taking note of them
