My name is Kim, I am from London (Native English speaker) and interested in learning Portuguese! I have learnt a fair bit of vocab from Duolingo however I still feel like I’m a beginner! Ideally I want to learn European Portuguese (mainly due to my friends being from Portugal) however willing to speak some Brazilian Portuguese also!

Oi Kim, tudo bem?

Oficialmente não existe diferenças entre o Português falado no Brasil com o Português de Portugal, o que existem são diferenças regionais principalmente na pronúncia e algumas poucas palavras mas que não interferem na experiência de aprendizagem.

Officially there are no differences between the Portuguese spoken in Brazil and the Portuguese spoken in Portugal, what exist are regional differences mainly in pronunciation and a few words but that do not interfere in the learning experience.
