Profesor profesionalPractising English with song lyrics
Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever used this app/website for practising English or other languages?
www.lyricstraining.com
Basically, you listen to songs and try to write the lyrics. Here's a video demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKLRikjDu3w
When I was teaching in a school, I used to use this website with my students on a Friday afternoon. As they were tired after doing their weekly test, this was a fun and enjoyable way for them to practise.
Enjoy!

Hi človek,
Yeah I find it useful to look at song lyrics on the internet. Some singers are easy to understand but others are much more difficult. I personally enjoy listening to Metal music (in addition to many other genres) and it can be hard to understand what they are saying, even in English haha.

Hi Faina,
I am glad that you are enjoying using this website to practise. However, I don't recommend staying up until 6am every day to do it haha.

This is really useful (and not so easy). Practicing a language and listening to song at the same time is very enjoyable. It’s almost 6 A.M. here and I can’t stop playing/practicing :D
Thank you very much for sharing!

Hi Heidi,
Yeah absolutely. That's a great way of learning vocabulary and improving in general. If you really like a song, the vocabulary is very likely to stick so it's a good way of getting vocab into your long term memory.
