What does the ‘le’ mean?
Can someone please tell me what this sentence means?

Yo tambien quiero darle esos paseos

I think it means ‘I would also like to take those walks’ but I don’t understand what the ‘le’ means and why it’s included.
Thank you!

The previous explanations are only relative. First of all, is that Spanish from Mexico? In certain regional Spanish, the "le"is overused and does not mean anything. If this is Latin American Spanish, then it is an indirect pronoun. If it is from Spain... well, it is from Spain. Not sure then because they have the "leismo" and not sure when they chose to switch "le" with lo/la.

“Le” is the indirect object pronoun for third-person singular (both masc and fem) and formal second-person singular. Object pronouns have to be attached after the verb when it’s in the infinitive form. Darle = give him/her/you (something).

Hello. Actually the way the sentence is phrased, it says, "Me too, I want to give him these walks" so dar means "to give" (base form of the verb)" and le is the object version for "él" so for example, darle= give him, darla= give her, darte= give you, darles= give them. Hope it helps

Thank you everyone. It was a message I received from an acquaintance I have walked with before, when I sent him some photos of a beautiful place. Now I think it means “I would like to take you on those walks” (using the usted pronoun).
Thank you all for your help 😊
