I knew the basic alphabet, but I still can't get with combination such as 너. I hope many people can join this discussion.

the wonderful thing about hangul is how phonetic it is - you can see and pronounce, you certainly cannot with Chinese characters, just think how both Korean and Japanese use the same characters as China uses (used, since they are traditional characters) and each is pronounced totally differently.  I lived 2 months in Seoul and although my Korean was very very basic, at least I could pronounce and recognise names and places and directions and foods very soon.  老鬼

너 is just a combination of ㄴ and ㅓ, so if ㄴ is "n" and "ㅓ" is eo , 너 is "neo". Is just a syllabel made out of two letters.

의 is "ui". This combinations are not always logical, since "ㅡ" is "eu" and "ㅣ" is "i", but "의" is "ui" (ㅇ is a silent letter that you put at the beginning of a sylabell that has a vowel). So 너의 is "neoui".

You need to get used to the sounds by listening A LOT of words, overexplaining things will only confuse you more.

너의 means yours 너 is you (informal/casual form, you can use 너 just for conversation between friend and friend, I mean same age) . 의 shows belong to (...) . For example 나의 친구 ( my friend )
