i do believe in free speech though, that you shouldn't be banned or locked up for speaking your mind, just don't be surprised if you get abuse thrown back at you

don't you think a lot of chinese people already know that a lot of mistakes were made in the past? burning works of art, killing innocent birds, etc. you might not like the government, but you cannot attack the mainland chinese, because they don't have a vote and just have to accept what the government does, are living their lives as well as possible, and are proud of their amazing culture and history which can never be destroyed

繁體字支持浪潮一波波 籲恢復繁體字

繼去年、今年北京人大、政協「兩會」連兩年有政協委員提案恢復繁體字後，大陸重量級的學者季羨林也公開要求恢復繁體字。季羨林曾任中共的「文字改革研究委員會」委員，實際參與廢除繁體字的工作。而當時的廿三名文字改革委員中，季羨林是唯一健在委員。作為漢字簡化工作參與者，季羨林悔不當初，覺得昨是今非，走了半世紀又回到了原點。

除此之外，大陸中央電視台「百家論壇」主講人之一、武漢大學國學專家李敬一，日前在中南民族大學講座時，再度公開呼籲恢復使用繁體字。李敬一主張恢復繁體字與電腦化時代的語言相關聯。因為經過千年來的『小學』（即漢字造字的學問）的研究與辯證，漢字一筆一畫都有其合理性及其演化的歷史，比西方抽象字母符號更加形象豐富，是世界上最美的文字。

大陸近期恢復繁體字呼籲一再出現。經濟學者茅于軾早年就基於電腦化之後，繁體字難學、難寫的理由不再存在，而主張恢復繁體字。去年三月間，《中華文學選刊》執行主編王干在網上寫了一篇部落格，稱「簡化漢字是『山寨版』漢字」，引發恢復繁體字新一波討論。

大陸知名作家二月河也是提案恢復繁體字的支持者，他認為繁體字有美感，使用簡體字會失去鑒賞古典文集的能力。二月河甚至主張所有文字排版都要恢復為豎排，「因為這是我們的傳統」。

大陸《搜狐網》曾做過調查，支持恢復繁體字的網民有四成一，反對者五成四，「擁簡派」和「廢簡派」透過各種方式展開論戰。大陸教育部副部長章新勝則說，教育部必須依法行政，而大陸現有法律認可的是簡體字。

高齡九十九歲的大陸國學大師季羨林被視為「廢簡派」的代表人物。中共建政初期曾成立「文字改革研究委員會」參與了簡化漢字、消滅漢字的政治文化工作。擁有廿三名委員的「文字改革研究委員會」，季羨林是唯一健在的委員。作為漢字簡化工作參與者，季羨林走了半世紀又回到了原點。不知道如果其他的22位委員如果仍然健在，不知道會不會也像季羨林一樣，為當時參與簡化漢字的過程而覺得悔不當初，痛心疾首？

文化不进步，思想就会跟着落后，思想都落后了一个民族还怎么发展？一直停留在原始社会被人欺负？

再说说简体中文和繁体，我觉得简体就很好，如果是繁体，那密密麻麻的笔画字看着都不舒服，而且还不便于书写。
