I like action,comedy and documentary movies.
My favourite movies are good movies, when I look for movies I generally look for different and unique movies as opposed to a particular genre. I think you find more interesting stories that way. However, speaking of genres, I think the most succesful movies in terms of global appeal and box office success have to combine 4 genres : action/fantasay/family/adventure. Get that right and your on to a winner. Although no one want to see the flops in this category. Finally I would class the genre of The Persuit of Happiness and Gridiron Gang as 'uplifting' movies.
