praise or compliment?
My boss talking to me after the meeting: "I would like to praise you for contributing to meeting goals." does this sound natural?
Can I use too: I would like to compliment you on contributing .... ????
Thank you so much. :)

My boss talking response to me after the meeting: "I value your contribution towards meeting our goals." ---This would sound more natural.
Can I also use too: I would like to compliment you on contributing .... ???? ----Yea, you can use 'compliment' instead of 'praise'.

Technically, there is nothing wrong with that statement. I have never had anyone say that to me in this way, though. To me, it sounds a bit mechanical. If you want to praise someone or compliment them, then just do it without announcing it.
"Your contribution to the project added a lot. You should be proud."
"Your work is top-quality. Thank you."
It's less of a language thing and more of a human thing, in my opinion.

"My boss talked to me after the meeting and praised me for my contribution". is how I would write/say this. (Native English speaker but not a teacher ).
"Can I also use" rather than "can I use too"

Maybe why not try "I would like to praise you for your contribution in meeting our goals"
