Could you please check my sentences? Am using the modal verb “would” correctly? Why would you pretend my brother? Why what would you call me for no reason? Why would he buy a book in Chinese if he didn’t know Chinese? Would you care for a walk with me this evening? We are going to practice English today - would you care to join us? My computer wouldn’t work this morning . I called her but she wouldn’t reply. My grandfather would always go for a walk after lunch. My cat would always meet me around the door.

Why would you pretend to be my brother?

Why what would you call me for no reason?

Why would he buy a book in Chinese if he didn’t know Chinese?

Would you care for a walk with me this evening?

My computer wouldn’t work this morning .

I called her but she wouldn’t reply. (Grammatically, this is correct! If you don't know her motive for not replying/answering, however, I would use "didn't reply.")

My grandfather would always go for a walk after lunch.

My cat would always meet me around the door. (For clarity, I would use "at the door", "next to the door", "close to the door." The current sentence sounds awkward.)

You're using "would" correctly!
