select his/her major according to his /her natural talents and interests studying in a field that a student is interested in could help the student stick to it and have a deep learning in this field. For example, when I enter the university, I choose the marketing major cause I really like this marketing management and math. After four years’ study, I find myself really enjoying the major and I do get a high study interest in this major, thus getting a good score finally. What’s more, I am considering going further study in this field. On the contrary , Lily, one of my best friends, chose the same major as me just because the teacher told her that finance is a popular subject. However, she did not have a good math background and what she really loved is art and music. It turned out that she could not adapt to the subject and had little chance to pass the exam, thus she had to transfer to another major, which took her one more year and a large amount of money. Therefore, it is better for a student to select his/her major according to his /her natural talents and interests.
