나무 01

안녕하세요! 이번 겨울에 저는 책을 읽기 시작했어요. 읽은 책이 좀 어려워서 잘못 이해한 문제를문장을 여기에서 쓰고 제 영어 반역번역을 쓸 거예요. 영어 반역을 번역이 틀리면 바로 잡아 주세요. 고맙습니다.

"낮에 허기를 견디다 못한 노루 두 마리가 눈 위에 배를 쓸며 마을로 내려왔다."
During the day, two deer who could not stand their hunger scratched their stomachs as they came down to the village.

한 나무는 어른 두 사람이 마주 잡아야 겨우 안을 수 있을 만큼 크고 늙은 나무였고, 또 한 나무는 이제 밑동이 엄지손가락만 하게 자란 어린 나무였다. 
From one tree, barely as far as two adult people could stand apart and still reach one another, there was a big and old tree, and the first tree was a young tree whose base had grown only as wide as a thumb.
--> A tree was a big and old tree that two adults barely reach one another, and another tree was young whose trunk was as tall as the height of a thumb.  

바람이 어찌나 세게 불던지 가지 끝이 다 부러져 나가는 것 같았다.
The wind blew so powerfully that the ends of the branches seemed like they would all be blown off. 

전깃줄마저 끊어진 그날 저녁, 이 집의 나이 든 주인 내외는 아주 오래만에 촛불을 밝혔다.
On that evening in which even the electricity was disconnected, the home's elderly couple lit candles for the first time since very long ago.
