Thing in itself
I opened italki for myself couple of days ago and I'm still amazed when I study some profiles. Sometimes I can't believe that people can live like that. Now I see that life in other countries is something different than life in Russia. In my country people are inflexible. Most of us can't imagine that we could live in other country, find work in there and start to build a new life. I see that it's not a problem for European or American people. If you were born in Russia and want to live better you would probably decide to move to Moscow. For many people from others cities (its usual way though?) life in Moscow is very hard. But they understand that they need to survive, they have a big motivation and therefore they have more chances for success. But I speak about migration within the country. If we are talking about moving to others countries, Russian people are not so brave. Yes, we have a lot of people who know some languages and feel free to travel abroad, they even work in others countries, but this is an exception. I don’t know why; maybe we still remain a closed country. Moreover, Russia is a very big country and it does not promote mobility. We like look at others and copy them but we are still a thing in itself. Perhaps it's the legacy of the Soviet Union but now our limitations, including the mental, start to break down and it's great!
