WRITING of IELTS _women should be allowed to join the army, the navy and the air force or not? Some people think women should be allowed to join the army, the navy and the air force just like men. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ With the increase numbers of people are paying more attention on gender equality nowadays, the status of female are gradually rising than before, thus there is a thought that women should be the same as male to be permitted to participate in the national defense forces of their country. It is obviously, there are some benefits for the country if the woman can be a part of the military, such as, they are more careful and patient than men when they are charge in their work and position; they can be more flexible that female are not only more suitable for taking care of people but also are good at managing information and analysis. However, I prefer the man to keep the dominant place in the army, because there is no doubt that in the military men advance women a lot. As we know, in physical situation, male can be stronger and more powerful than female, so they can afford the longer working time and adapt in more severe environment. In addition, the woman seems to be more sentimental and emotional, which means that they cannot immediately calm down and be rational when they face some specific condition of working. Due to the Job nature, the stuff, like weapons, machines and explosives, can be manipulated more professional and expert in man’s hand. All in all, men, through the ages, are always the main force of the armed forces, but we could make some changes to keep pace with the times that to give female more chance and widen choice in the society.

It is obviously, there are some benefits for the country if the woman can be a part of the military, for example such as, they are more careful and patient than men when they are charge in their work and position; they can be more flexible that female are not only more suitable for taking care of people but also are good at managing information and analysis.

However, I prefer for men the man to keep the dominant place in the army, because there is no doubt that in the military men surpass advance women a lot. As we know, in physical situations, males can be stronger and more powerful than females, so they can afford the longer working times and adapt in a more severe environment. In addition, women the woman seems to be more sentimental and emotional, which means that they cannot immediately calm down and be rational when they face some specific condition of working. Due to the nature of the job, the equipment such as Job nature, the stuff, like weapons, machines and explosives, can be manipulated more professionally and with more expertise in a man’s hand.

All in all, men, through the ages, are always the main force of the armed forces, but we could make some changes to keep pace with the times that to give females more chances and widen the choice in the society.

Men are stronger relative to women, which means they would are better at hand to hand combat with other men of a similar size, and can carry more stuff again depending on their size - but that's all. A woman isn't unable to run as far as a man, because she only has to carry her own weight - which if she's fit and in the army, of course she would be able to do so for as long as a man of similar training. Other than that, no women aren't more careful and patient than men. In some cultures the steotype is that women are flighty and impatient, so that's your personal perspective on gender stereotypes talking! As for the other stereotypical nonsense you've written - women are raised to be reveal more emotion than men -yes- but no matter what your culture, and how you're raised to be, the army training should equip you to handle that. Plus, no, weapons, explosives and machines cannot be manipulated more professionally nor with greater expertise by a man's hand just for the virtue of being a man. If a male and a female have both been trained by the armed forces, the difference in their ability to manipulate a firearm will be negligable, and on a personal rather than gender basis. Likewise to my previous comment on your opinion, an army trained man's abilitiy to handle his emotions vs an army trained woman's ability to handle her emotions will vary based on a person-to person rather than a gendered basis. Basically, I think what you've written is a load of sexist, outdated tripe - but that's different cultures for you!! :)
