Although / though / even though/ in spite of / despite 1 Although I had never seen her before, I recognised her from a photograph. She wasn't wearing a coat, althought it was quite cold. We are not very good friends, although we've known each other a long time. I didn't recognise her, althought I'd met her twice before. She only accepted the job in spite of the salary, which was very hight. She accepted the job because of the salary, which was rather low. I managed to get to sleep in spite of there was a lot of noise. I couldn't get to sleep because of the noise. He passed the exam althought he didn't do anything. He passed the exam because he read a lot of books. I didn't eat anything althought I refused to have lunch. I didn't eat anything in spite of the food was very tasty. 3 In spite of having very little money, they are happy. Although my foot was injured, I managet to walk home. I enjoyed the film, in spite of that the story was silly. Despite liveing in the same street, we hardly ever see each other. I got very wet in the rain, even though I was only out for five minutes. 4 It's warm today, it's very windy though. We didn't like the food, we ate it though. Liz is very nice. I don't like his husband though.

"Though" is not correctly used in the 1st two sentences. You used it just right in the 3rd, though. :)

She wasn't wearing a coat, althought it was quite cold. It would be better to switch around because "although" emphasizes the cause.  Although it was quite cold, she wasn't wearing a coat.
We are not very good friends, although we've known each other for a long time. Although we've known each other for a long time, we are...

You cannot use "low" with "because".  You need to use "although" instead.  Although the salary was rather low, she accepted the job.
