The philosophy of Marriage in Indonesian
In Indonesian, marriage is rumah tangga. nowdays people often call it pernikahan. I try ti find why before marriage is rumah tangga in Indoensian.
Rumah if we translated in English means home. and tangga is stairway.
Rumah or home,
I think It means before you get married, you have to build your own home in your own mind, your own soul. You have done with yourself. dont love because you perceive loneliness. Dont love because you feel incomplete. dont get married because you get pressure from everyone around you. Most Indonesian boys or girls get married too young. They get married before they have good career. They get married in a hurry because of their parents wants to get grandchildren promptly, they get married before they have maturity, they get married seem in a hurry, even many of those who are not yet ready mentally. I often see fathers who smoke cigarettes beside their children, or a mom who talk rudely with their children. They ask their children to do good things, but in other hand they give bad examples.
And tangga or stairway, hmm..
When you have done with yourself, you can build a stairway. A stairway that help the right person to get into your home. You have to perch your home, because not everyone can get into easily so it means not everyone that you let to see your stairway.
Hm ok, my train already come. I am happy if you would like to correct it. :)
