If I wrote the same sentence changing the word " intuito " to " intenção ", would that be clearer?

Não houve a intenção de comparar as diferenças!

There wasn´t intention to compare the differences.

Talvez você queira dizer, "eu não tive a intenção de fazer comparações"?

"Não houve o intuito de comparar as diferenças."

I would translate as "There was no aim of compare the differences" or "There was no intention in comparing the differences"
