Actually, I just wanted to make sure that I've chosen the right words for the traffic lights and road. And also if I can call the park simply สวน.

I'm not sure that is a river or a canal. 

however, river is แม่น้ำ.

canal is คลอง. 

For สวน, we can call สวน but mostly we call สวน followed by the name of the park, namely สวนจตุจักร (Suan Chatuchak), สวนลุมพินี (Lumpini), สวนหลวง (Suan Luang) and so-on.

But for the park in general, we call สวนสาธารณะ.

For example, I go to the park for a walk (ฉันไปเดินเล่นที่สวนสาธารณะ).
