Manaus city

Manaus is a city of Amazonas (a Brazilian State). It is located in the center of the largest tropical forest in the world.

Manaus has a population of over 2 million habitants, it's the most populous city of Amazonas.

It was originally founded in 1669 by the portuguese that named it "São José do Rio Negro".

It is one of the best known brazilian cities in the world, mainly by its tourism potential and ecotourism, which makes the city the tenth largest tourist destination in Brazil.
