My 2nd Composition - What did I do today? Today I woke up at 6 A.M., I took a shower, and after that I dressed up very quickly, because I couldn't get late at college. I prefer to have breakfast at home for 2 reasons: 1) is cheaper 2) my mom always help me out. In my breakfast I had a cup of coffee, a slice of bread, butter and a slice of ham. That was delicious! So, I brushed my teeth and I left home at 7:20 A.M. I cannot drive, so I have to take a bus every day. That's kind of boring, but I don't have another option. Unfortuanely, today I missed my bus, and the next one delayed for almost 30 minutes. I was pissed off because my class begins 8 A.M. and the teacher is annoying. I mean, she's a good teacher, but she hates seeing her students arriving after 8 A.M. I think she forgets we all live in a big city, in which has traffic jam all day long. It's quite far from my house to college (about 30 minutes by car), so what should I do? Ride a bike? Give up? Rent an apartment next to? Well, after my little adventure to get at school, I finally arrived there about 9 A.M. About 12 P.M. I had lunch at university. They usually don't make good dishes, even though some days is possible find out good meals. For example today, I had a pork steak, vegetables and french fries. I love french fries! After lunch I went to the college's library to study, and 5 P.M. I left my college to come back to home. I arrived over 6 P.M. Even though today was a rough day, torromow is Friday. And I'm happy! \o/

Today I woke up at 6 A.M., I took a shower, and after that I dressed up got dressed very quickly, because I couldn't get be late at to college (it's more common to just say "to school" or "to class"). Well, after my little adventure to get at getting to school, I finally arrived there at about 9 A.M. At About 12 P.M. I had lunch at university ("on campus" would be better). They usually don't make good dishes, even though some days it is possible to find good meals. For example today, I had a pork steak, vegetables and french fries. I love french fries! Great job! Just note that it's more common to refer to college as just "school" or "class." You would still say that you are a "student in college," though.

Also: "Dress up" is used when you are trying to look especially nice (for example, if you had a date at a very nice restaurant) or are trying to look like a person/thing you aren't (for example, when we celebrate Halloween you might dress up as a ghost or as Cinderella). "Get dressed" is used for when you are just getting ready for the day.

You're right, Kelly, but here in Brazil, ride a bike is dangerous. The car drivers don't care about bikers health. :\
