Hi dear. So, whenever the verb is after a preposition we put this verb in the gerund. Becouse of that, "for travel" becomes "for traveling". Ah, between two verbs, you need to include the word "to" because the second verb will always be in the infinitive. So, you should say "I want to learn" or you could use the informal word "wanna" instead "want to" - "I wanna learn". Ah! I don't think you are horrible in English. ^^
