Waiting for dinner
I arrived at home from work half an hour ago, my dogs were hungry and so the first thing to do was to give them something to eat. Then I went out to fill in my basket of firewood. It was really heavy! Now the fire is sparkling in the stove and one dog is in front of it. Sometimes he goes so close to the stove's window that I think "if he could, he would enter it!". For dinner I want to do lentils and soya hamburgers, but they're not ready. My husband has just arrived at home: he has bought an automatic vacuum cleaner for his mother! Who knows if he wants to prepare dinner!
Hello Chiara,
Animals do love to get as close as possible to heat, don't they. Remember 'home' sometimes doesn't have a preposition after a verb. (go home, arrive home, leave home...) You tried to use the Present Perfect correctly at the end but you need to use 'have' not 'be' as an auxiliary.
Hope this helps
Bob
