A Little Information About Me

Hi, my name is Alfonso. I'm learning English because I like it, and I can meet new people and speak with them everywhere. I'm from Italy, and I am 38 years old. I live in a small village called Dogliani, near Langhe. Langhe is a vineyard landscape in Piedmont, in Northwestern Italy. At the moment, it is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. My town is twinned with a French city, and a German city. French and German will be the next languages that I want to learn, but right now, I believe it's more important to study English, to be able to communicate with each town.

I'm a "geometra". In English "geometra" is like a land surveyor, or a quantity surveyor. In Italy, a "geometra" is like an easier version of an architect. My interests are rock climbing, hiking, and traveling. Anything I can do in the open air. The mountains and sea are an hour's drive from Dogliani, so as soon as I can, I go over there. I'm sorry for my mistakes, and thank you for the corrections.

Alfonso, this being your first notebook entry, I think you did a good job! I did note several grammar mistakes and a some minor spelling mistakes. It's okay that you've made some mistakes, that's how you learn, so don't feel bad about your mistakes that's normal especially when learning a language like English!
