Contraction "How'd" What does "how'd" exactly stand for in this sentence? Is it HOW DID or HOW WOULD? I'm in the middle of an argument with an esl teacher who claims it's "how would", while i'm absolutely sure it's "HOW DID".

Definitely "how did". They already met, so the past tense "did" makes sense. "How would" is hypothetical about the future, it makes no sense if they already met. It could be used in a context like "If you and mom got divorced, how would you meet someone new?"

Yes, Dave, I know :) But she was too confident telling me that because she’s been teaching English for 11 years and lived in America for 5 years, she knows English perfectly, and I’m a stupid person who dared to disagree with her hahah. Thank you everyone! She blocked me anyways. Probably she’s afraid I might find some other mistakes in her posts. Hilarious xD

How did.. But this is very much slang, or informal language that you might never hear, and would certainly never be written. So it's not surprising that a teacher might not know it.
