Hello Amy,
As a language learner myself, I really understand your feelings, however it is important to pluck up your courage and make the effort to communicate, even if it is not perfect.
If you never make a mistake, you will never learn. If somebody wants to communicate with you, together you will find a way to negotiate meaning.
Please keep trying.

Well, just try to relax and don't be afraid to make this or that mistake :) Your counterparts in a dialogue, even if they are native speakers, understand everything. They are not going to stop talking to you if you just think what to say a bit longer than them. Also, that might be because you didn't have enough practice. This may be easily improved with the help of making english-speaking friends in real lufe or getting penpals here on Italki. 😁

Hi, Amy! It's ok to be nervous when you're not sure about the language that you study. Especially if you speak to a foreigner, ESPECIALLY if it's a native speaker (sometimes they are really scary;))
Feel free to contact me if you need any help with English.
