Hey! I recommend novels by Haruki Marukami for the fantasy element, also ‘She Would be King’ by Wayetu Moore (I couldn’t put it down!) Freshwater and PET by Akwaeke Emezi were both beautiful, gorgeously supernatural yet personal reads. Let me know what you think if you read any! ☺️

I really enjoyed a book by David Gregory Roberts called “Shantaram. It”s a novel based on a true story set in India. I really enjoyed the development of the characters and having travelled there myself I could relate to some elements. Hope this helps.
