Today was rainy. Last night, none of us slept well because of the mosquitoes. I’d forgotten to close the balcony door before leaving the room, and I’m pretty sure I accidentally trapped some inside the house. Dad hates the smell of mosquito coils, it makes him nauseous. Mom tried cranking the AC up to full blast to freeze the pests out. It worked at first, but that plan backfired because we were practically turning into icicles ourselves. By the end of the night, I was covered in itchy bites—on my feet, fingers, and everywhere else. We’ve got to come up with a better solution before bedtime tonight; I can’t handle another sleepless night like that!
