I really wonder in question 12, A or C which one is correct.

The correct answer is A. several or C. many, depending on the context.
“Several items” means more than a few but not a large number. It is commonly used in everyday speech.
“Many items” refers to a large quantity, which could also be correct in this sentence.
Why not B or D?
• “A little” is used for uncountable nouns (e.g., “a little water”), but “items” is countable.
• “Few items” (without “a”) means not many and suggests a small or disappointing quantity, which doesn’t match the positive tone of the sentence.

I agree with Shahd. If you HAVE to choose between A and C, you should probably choose C. The sentence says the person saved A LOT of money, so that might imply they bought many things.
