I'd like to make an official complaint to the people in charge of the English language. I firmly believe that it's monumental fault to have just one word for battery, the one which you recharge by plugging it into a socket, and a battery that you buy an through in the bin when it runs out.
Why? I recently bought a microphone for my video camera. I had obviously read reviews about it, and some people would say things like: 'I cannot allow to say to a customer that I have to stop recording because the mic's battery has run out.
I'm sure you see what I mean. That sounds like a battery you have to plug to get it charged. And so, thankfully, I wasn't deterred by reviews like this and ended up buying it. However, when I unboxed it to try it out, I realized my mistake. Fortunately, I was at home and not with a customer. I don't want to think how such a lack of professionalism would have gone down.
So, please, could you do something about it?
Thanks 🤪
